PROJECT
OVERVIEW
The Jacomo Journey Demonstration Home (JJDH)
is the first home being designed and built using the new Jackson
County, Missouri Green Build Program guidelines. Hathmore Technologies,
LLC will provide green consulting and construction expertise
based upon years of experience developing green projects and
on-line training programs that save energy. This JJDH project
will culminate in a proto-type, net-zero-energy home.
The JJDH is expected to become available for
tour during the Fall 2006/Spring 2007 KC Parade of Homes as well
as by appointment. After the Spring 2007 Parade, the home will
become available for sale to a private individual unless ongoing
financial commitment(s) are received from one or more major sponsors.
This home, located on five acres, is projected to have a price
tag of approximately $300 to $350 thousand.

PARTNERSHIP
WITH JACKSON COUNTY
Jackson County has formally adopted the Green Build Program
(GBP) and is partnering with Hathmore Technologies, LLC to construct
and promote the Jacomo Journey Demonstration Home. This project
is intended to encourage developers and homebuilders to improve
their current development/building practices and reduce the negative
impacts on our environment, health, and economy by adopting and
utilizing the County's GBP.
The JJDH is expected to qualify for the $2,000 new home Energy
Tax Credit and will be pre-planned to allow the owner to add
energy and solar features to qualify for additional tax credits.

Jackson County will promote the JJDH along with the GBP guidelines.
